Coaching. The PerfX Hockey Way
Our aim is to discover, develop and nurture the future sports men and women who will be the driving force of hockey in the future. We want to unearth the next Olympic Hockey player and leave a longstanding legacy on the game.
From the beginners who have just picked up a stick to the next Team GB star, whatever level you may be we are enthusiastic about creating a comfortable, enjoyable and reliable environment that will engage and develop participants for the better.
We work very closely with all of our clients regardless of their ability and strive to help them achieve their goals.

We simply love hockey. We want to see the sport reach the great heights that we know that it should.
Our contribution towards achieving this comes in three key areas:
- Increase participation in Hockey, specifically in the Midlands and North West of England.
- Retain these players as well as those already playing the game.
- Develop all of the players that we work with to be the very best that they can be, therefore raising the standards that the game is played at.

Our step by step simple coaching process is easy to follow for our players and coaches because of the extensive background work that we do before during and after every stage that our players go through:
Planning
PerfX Hockey believe this stage to be the most important - Fail to plan means plan to fail. The PerfX Hockey coaching team spend endless hours on the planning of every session that we oversee and use the opinions of everyone involved when doing so in order to achieve the best possible outcome.
Execution
The delivery of a coaching session can have a huge impact on all players and can last a lifetime - we strive to ensure that we are delivering our sessions to the highest possible standards. We look at the needs of our clients with heavy scrutiny so that we can dedicate the right team of coaches to suit their needs. The coaches from PerfX Hockey then go out and do what they do best - deliver a fun, memorable and captivating session that gives the players the tactical and technical learning outcomes that they require.

Together with our clients we reflect on the session that we have delivered. This not only allows us to see how the participants felt about the session and where they feel the next stage is for them, but it also allows our coaching team to grow and learn at the same time. The more information that we can get about the session the better.

After reflecting on the session with the client the coaching team then have a feedback session amongst themselves at PerfX Hockey's offices, even if some of the coaches were not present at the session. This allows the team to bounce ideas between themselves so that when they write up their debrief and forward planning notes they are certain about what the next stage is. This information is then given to the clients so that they know the direction that we are looking to move in whilst giving them the opportunity to have their say also.
